birthday part 3

We are getting close to wrapping this up! Ellie's actual birthday was Saturday. After unwrapping some presents, playing in her kitchen and eating donuts (her new favorite), it was off to the pool with her family and friends!

We decided to do a big friend party every other year, so this year we just asked our families to join us for a day at the pool.

Since her good friends Lilly & Ryan and Gretchen & Grady are already Lodgers, we asked them to come up and play too! It was a great day

Courtney, Michael, Sean and Catherine all came in on Friday night from Chicago. Usually whenever they come in, they are zipping around to a ton of different parties/weddings/events, but this weekend was all about Ellie! It was so fun to just lounge around and hang out for a weekend. And of course Tim & Cheryl were there with us too!

 Ellie loved all the attention from millions of adults! She was quite the star all weekend.

 But little John was not left out. He came and hung out at the pool and got a lot of the grandpa's attentions!

Little bits and daddy playing in the pool! We were out of town this weekend and missed out last weekend at the pool. We had a lot of fun there this summer and will miss it! Good thing they have an indoor pool we can hit up!

Gommy wasn’t feeling too hot, but Grandpa came up for a bit to get a quick hug from the birthday girl! We missed Gommy, but sent her lots of kisses and hugs through FaceTime!

John dipping his toes in the water! Ellie's swimsuits have all fit her for at least a season and a half.. but I dont think John's trunks would have lasted a few more days!

After a long couple of hours hitting the slides, lazy river and waves, it was time for a little nap on Aunt Cece. You can for sure tell our kids all nap at the same time. Within minutes all of them had enough and let the pool know it. We were o-u-t!  

We headed home, the kids napped, the girls went to a wedding shower, and the boys hung out doing well, we don't really know what they did. We know they did not eat. Seriously, we all came home from the shower with my dad, brothers, husband and Courtney's boyfriend staring at us for leaving them without food!
